Halter & Lead Training

The contents of this page for Halter & Lead Training is still under construction.

Everyone is anxious to train their llamas to lead along nice on a halter. They also want their llamas to bond with them, to be able to hug and love on their llamas.....well? Some of it is possible.

The first thing you will need is a well fitting llama halter in good repair and a cotton lead rope. The whole process will be much easier if you have your llama in a small pen.

more to come (of course)

We will be working on this page for awhile.....please check back often.

DID YOU KNOW?

Do NOT leave a halter on a Llama. Leaving a halter on a llama can cause wet area under the halter causing a sore know as a "Hot Spot" that is painful for the animal and if not catch early the nose area may grow into the halter.
